I watched the tv series “How I met your mother” some years ago. The Character Barney has a nice cliché that: “New is always better!”. Maybe not always true about everything in life, but about the hotels and hostels in Iran, I do agree with Barney!
Vali-Asr hostel is the newest hostel in Qazvin. I started one year ago during the epidemy. But when you get inside, you will feel the fresh atmosphere of the room. The walls, the beds, the lighting, and the bathrooms, all can give you an idea of a good and relaxing stay in Qazvin before or after your excursion to Alamut Valley.
The location may not be quite central and you will need some 20 minutes walking to the city center, but the price and the quality will cover for the location.
Vali-Asr hostel is located at the same street as, and between Mar Mar and Minoo hotel.
This hostel does not serve breakfast, but since it is located at the main entrance of Qazvin from Tehran (Vali-Asr intersection), you will find plenty of breakfast places where you can have eggs, omelet, and cereals. The locals are into such breakfast. The coffee shops are also frequent around.
Another option could be having breakfast in Minoo hotel. Recently I had a tour that I planned the breakfast in Minoo hotel. The breakfast was quite nice, the coffee was perfect. I paid two euros per person.
There are in two levels: En suite and shared bathrooms.
The rooms with private bathroom are favorable and the price is not that big different.
The rooms with shared bathroom are also available.
The bathroom and toilet for men and woman are separated. Each one in a floor.
The rooms are in two beds up to four beds.
Free wifi is available, too.
The receptionist may not be fluent in English, but when needed, they can call me and I will handle your needs.
